Petworth Porchfest is a volunteer-led annual event spearheaded by a passionate group of Petworth residents. Inspired by other PorchFests throughout DC and eager to connect with their community after a global pandemic, they created the event in the spring of 2021. 

The event brings together community by offering Petworth residents an opportunity to host a local band on their porch, where residents and visitors can enjoy live music together. The aim of the event is to encourage the gathering of community, support local artists and businesses, and inspire people through the art of music.

Chica Creative partnered with Bailer Designs to create a brand identity and event campaign experience that engaged and welcomed residents to gather in community. We chose a vibrant, spring-inspired color palette and playfully combined geometric, floral and music related shapes that radiate the energy felt when surrounded by friends and good music vibes – Each year the branded elements, color palette and fonts are used to stay recognizable and on brand, while the graphic shapes and illustrations vary to keep the artwork fresh and exciting for the residents.
