Walking along the Charles River in Cambridge, MA is one of my favorite outdoor activities while visiting family in the area. I was captivated by the light flashing through mature trees, pouring over the buildings on Harvard’s campus. As with most of my digital illustrations, I took reference photos, started sketching on paper and then moved to my ipad to start the illustration process. I typically use a base layer photograph I have taken for later reference. I hope you enjoy this process video as much as the final piece.
